Science Department

The Science Department at Indian Trail Academy is structured so that all students earn credit in the four core science courses, which are the following: biology, chemistry, physics and geoscience/astronomy. The academies are structured this way so the student is prepared to attend a two or four-year college.

Biotechnology Academy

Unique to the ITA science department is the Academy of Biotechnology and Environmental Studies. Students in this academy are exposed to 11 science courses, which include the four core classes and a unique set of courses. Among those unique courses are the following: Advanced Biotechnology Anatomy and Physiology Animal Behavior Ecology Forensics Genetics Lab Techniques AP Biology is offered to all students senior year.
