High School Graduation Requirements
Beginning with the class of 2007, district policy states that seniors must have all required credits completed by the end of the second semester of their senior year in order to take part in the graduation ceremony. Seniors with two or fewer credits can still attend summer school and receive their diploma upon completion of the remaining credits, but CANNOT take part in the graduation ceremony. In addition, graduating seniors will not be able to obtain their diploma until all fees and fines are paid in full.
We encourage you to talk with your son or daughter about the importance of passing all of his or her required classes. Students who need to make up credits for previous classes that were failed can sign up for credit recovery at ITA in the following subject areas: Math, English, Biotechnology, Social Science Seminar, World Civilization and American History. Seniors may also make up credits at Reuther High School . All credit recovery classes are held after school.
Seniors should see their academy counselor to sign up for credit recovery classes.
For more information, please contact your child’s counselor.
