Visual Communication
The Communications Academy provides a solid foundation in academic studies, as well as design, multimedia production, broadcasting, and journalism, by stressing both traditional studio skills and cutting-edge technology, preparing students to meet the demands of the new economy of the twenty-first century.
Students coming out of the four year sequential program at ITA's Communication Academy are well prepared for apprenticeships in the graphic arts industry, or continued education in various fields of design, broadcasting, journalism, animation, game design, and other forms of mass communication.
Graduates of the Communications Academy have gone on to careers in graphic design, motion graphics, film-making, marketing, newspaper layout and design, web-development, and related fields.

Many graduates go on to two-year or four-year colleges and design schools, where they find that they advance far more rapidly and easily than their peers due to the preparation they received in the Communications Academy at Indian Trail.
