Combining science and technology with integrated lessons

The Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences Academy offers students over ten (10) credits of science during their high school years.

All students are provided with the use of a Mac Book computer as part of the 1-to-1 program, the first of its kind in Wisconsin's public schools at the high school level. Students use their computers and existing technology at ITA on a regular basis to complete assignments and many projects. Another unique feature about the Biotech Academy are several integrated lessons that are planned by the Biotech Academy teachers.

Finally, students are exposed to exciting opportunities outside of the classroom through field trips and community service projects. The Academy philosophy, which fosters a respectful relationship between students and teachers, has made these opportunities very successful.
